- Upon your arrival at the airport, fill in the arrival card and proceed to the immigration counter.
- After clearing immigration, please proceed to the Baggage Reclaim area to collect your flight baggage.
- The baggage clearance at the major International Airport in India consists of two channels for clearance—Green and Red. Proceed to the Green Channel if you do not have any dutiable goods to declare and the Red Channel if you have dutiable goods to declare.
- Foreign nationals can visit restricted / protected areas in India only after obtaining a valid permit, as the entry visa alone does not allow travel to these areas. Let us know in advance and we’ll see if we can help you.
- Foreign nationals visiting India who hold long-term visas (180+ days) are required to register their presence in India with the Foreigners Registration Office (FRRO), except for the following categories of foreigners who are exempted:

- Foreign nationals holding five-year tourist visas, who are engaged in tourism/travel trade, desirous of visiting India frequently over extended periods for promotion of tourism, etc. provided their visas contain an endorsement that "continuous stay should not exceed 180 days during each visit".
- Foreign nationals visiting India who hold long-term visas (180+ days) are required to register their presence in India with the Foreigners Registration Office (FRRO), except for the following categories of foreigners who are exempted:
- PIO card holders, if their continuous stay during each visit does not exceed 180 days.
- If any person does not fall into any of the above categories, he/she may please ensure that the registration is done with the nearest FRRO within 14 days of arrival in India.
- A passport should have at least six months validity at the time of making an application for a grant of e-Visa and a re-entry permit if that is required under the law of the country of nationality of the applicant.
- Foreign nationals visiting India have to PRINT an Electronic Travel Authorization / ETA / e-visa and present it at the immigration post where the e-visa will be stamped on their passport.
- The passport should have at least two blank pages for stamping by the immigration officer.
- e-Visa will be allowed for a maximum of two times in a calendar year to a foreign national.
- e-visa will be granted for a period of up to 60 days with double entry on an e-Tourist Visa and eBusiness Visa and triple entry on an e-Medical Visa.
- e-Visa, shall be non-extendable except in the case of an e-Medical Visa.
- Foreign nationals must note down emergency contact numbers, including your country's embassy, local police, and medical emergency services.
- Tourist Visa shall be non-extendable and non-convertible to any other type of visa except in specific cases
- Ask for permission before taking photographs of people, particularly in rural areas or of religious ceremonies.
- Foreign nationals coming from or through Yellow Fever countries must be able to produce a valid vaccination certificate.
