Overview
As part of the island of Borneo, the Malaysian province of Sabah is home to dense rainforests, full of colourful birds and exotic animals. Join us as we explore Sabah’s wildlife, from learning about conservation at the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, to birdwatching in the Danum Valley.

Upon arrival at Sandakan Airport, meet up with your guide before transferring to your hotel. Spend the day free at leisure. Overnight stay

In the morning, proceed to the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. After a short introductory video, we'll walk ten minutes through the rainforest to witness the feeding of the Orang Utans at 10 am. Visit the Borneo Sun Bear Conservation Centre to learn about conservation of the world's smallest bear. Thereafter, visit the Rainforest Discovery Centre RDC that has an excellent interpretation centre about the rainforest and explore the nearby 28 meter tall 343 metres long canopy walkway. After sunset, you'll be taken on a guided night walk in search of nocturnal animals. Return to your hotel.

After lunch, we transfer to the jetty and embark on twin engine speedboat for a 2½ hours journey to the multi awards winning Sukau Rainforest Lodge with the opportunity to view wildlife and birds. Take a river cruise using electric motor in search of wildlife and birds. Enjoy a buffet dinner overlooking the river followed by a slide show and interpretation by our naturalist guide. Take a 0600 hr. morning river cruise up the Kinabatangan River to Kelenanap oxbow lake to view more birds and wildlife. After breakfast, proceed for an educational tour along the lodge's Hornbill Boardwalk with our in-house naturalist. In the afternoon, we proceed for another river cruise for more wildlife. Proceed 2½ hr. overland to Lahad Datu for lunch. After lunch, we drive 83 km to the award winning nature lodge, Borneo Rainforest Lodge. Explore nature trails and the nearby river. In the evening watch a slide show and explore nature trail leading to canopy walkway. If weather permits we go spotlighting to view some of the nocturnal animals. Overnight stay

Spend the whole day exploring the forest for birds and mammals, leading up to an escarpment with ancient burial coffins. Trek to waterfall for a refreshing dip in rock pools. Return to lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, explore more trails. Overnight stay

Free at leisure until check-out. Depart back to Lahad Datu. Take the late afternoon flight back to Kota Kinabalu. Tour Ends.
