Overview
The seven nights and eight days tour will unfold the historical, spiritual, and wilderness places peacefully settled in the glorious state of Gujarat. Dwarka is the first destination in focus. Regarded as one of India’s ancient city, the place is situated on the banks of Gomti river facing the Arabian Sea. The sacred city of Dwarka was built by Lord Krishna after leaving Mathura, and the place finds mention in the Mahabharata, the Bhagavad-Gita, and the Skanda Purana. Being built and destroyed several times either by natural calamity or ruthless invaders, the present Dwarka is the seventh city. During your stay over here, you will be exploring the ancient temples resting here for centuries including Dwarka Dheesh Temple, Dwarka Peetha, and Nageshwar Jyotirlinga. From Dwarka, you will be heading towards yet another spiritual destination gloriously standing on Saurashtra (the peninsular region of Gujarat). Considered to be sacred due to the legends connected to it, the temple was one of the twelve Jyotirlingas situated in Gujarat. Adorned with intricate masonry, stepping inside this ancient temple will make one feel the reverberation deep within. A few hours drive from Somnath will take you to Sasan Gir- the last bastion of Asiatic Lions. While spending time in the Lion’s turf you will come across many rare birds and mammals inspiring you to indulge in wildlife photography. Diu is the last destination in this enchanting journey. A little island close to the shoreline of Gujarat, Diu was an erstwhile Portuguese colony which was freed in 1961. Away from the humdrum of city life, this wind-cleared island is tranquil, delightful, and scenic, perfect for long holidays and short excursions. Meticulously handcrafted by Asian Adventures, the tour will surely leave a lasting memory on your mind.
