Today, you will have another day to rest and acclimatize, as well as possibly doing a little light sightseeing in Leh.

Today we will travel from Leh to the village of Hemis Shukpachan. This little village is a delight for photographers. Not only is it home to wildlife like Snow Leopard, Urial, Marmot, Blue Sheep, and a variety of birds, but it is also a great place to dive deep into local Ladakhi culture and experience it in a wholesome manner.

We have the whole day today to experience the rich wildlife and even richer culture of Hemis Shukpachan.

Today, we bid adieu to Hemis Shukpachan and move to the village of Uleytokpo. Uleytokpo is truly among the most enchanting villages in Ladakh, and is famously known as a base for many of the treks in Ladakh.

We have the whole day today to experience the rich culture and absorb the tranquility of Ladakh. We will visit the Lamayuru Monastery, one of the largest and oldest gompas in Ladakh. The history of this beautiful monastery dates back to 956CE, while the oldest surviving building was built in the 11th century.
We will also visit the Alchi Monastery, a monastic complex of temples in Alchi village dating back to the 11th century. The wall paintings in the monastery are some of the oldest surviving paintings in Ladakh.
In the evening, proceed to Leh for an overnight stay.

Sadly, all journeys come to an end. Today, we bid adieu to Leh, signaling the end of this amazing journey and fly out.
