Join us on this two-week tour as we explore all that the island of Borneo has to offer, from relaxed beachside activities, to exploring the local island culture. Every leg of this journey is designed to give you the perfect peek into the life on this beautiful island.

Arrive Kuching Airport, meet and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay

Morning, pick up from your hotel and depart for Kuching city tour to see most of the places of attraction around this historical city. Drive to see the gigantic cat statue, the mascot of Kuching city at Padungan before cruising through China Town. Stop at the Tua Pek Kong Temple, one of the oldest temples in Sarawak. Pass by the traditional Malay houses built on stilts. Winding through the heart of the city, look out for a majestic looking Astana, the former palace of White Rajah, but now the official residence of the Governor of Sarawak, the old Colonial Law Court House. Then, pass through the Clock Tower and a granite obelisk built in memory of Rajah Charles Brooke. Visit to the Sarawak Museum. Return to hotel. Own leisure in the afternoon. Overnight at Hotel.

Morning, pick up from your hotel and depart for a four hour drive to the jetty. There will be three stop-overs en-route at Serian a Dayak trading town, a Chinese farmhouse to see how pepper and cocoa are grown and Lachau for lunch. On arrival at the river jetty, proceed by motorized longboat up river to the Longhouse (238 km / 4.5 hr.). Afternoon, tour the longhouse and watch the natives at work making mats, baskets, handicrafts and mending fishing nets. After dinner, join in the fun filled evening with the traditional dance and enjoy the locally brewed rice wine. Overnight stay

After breakfast, witness a blowpipe demonstration and a jungle walk with guide highlighting the various plants which the natives use for food, making traditional medicine and handicraft. Return downriver and overland drive back to Kuching. Overnight stay

Pick up and transfer to Kuching airport for your flight to Mulu. Upon arrival at Mulu airport, meet and transfer to Mulu National Park accommodations. Check in (Longhouse Room). Lunch at park cafe. Afternoon, depart for a three KM plank walk to Deer Cave and Lang Cave. Late afternoon, observe the millions of bats coming out from the vast mouth of the Deer Cave which will be a memorable occurrence (Only during fine weather). Return to accommodation. Dinner at park cafe.

Depart by a long boat going up river to Wind Cave via Penan settlement. Visit the settlement and observe the lifestyle of this tribe. Visit Wind Cave and explore the limestone formation of this unique eco system. Continue the journey by plank walk to Clearwater Cave where more interesting stone formation can be seen. Picnic lunch at Clearwater summer huts. Return to accommodation. Free at own leisure in the afternoon. Dinner at park cafe. Overnight Stay.

Breakfast at park cafe. Transfer to Mulu airport. Fly back to Miri to connect flight to Kota Kinabalu. Arrive in Kota Kinabalu. Overnight stay

Spend a day of sun, sea and sand on an offshore coral island. Transfer to jetty for a 20-minutes boat ride to one of the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park islands for a day of relaxation and explore jungle trails on your own. Snorkel in crystal clear water among coral reefs and rainbow-coloured fishes before we return to Kota Kinabalu. Overnight stay

Drive 2 hours overland to the foothills of Mt. Kinabalu. We make a short stop at Pekan Nabalu market to sample local fruits in season and to stretch our legs. Thereafter, we proceed to the Education Centre and Mountain Garden in Kinabalu Park Headquarters. If weather permits, take a guided walk on one of the trails to explore the cool montane forest. Overnight stay in Kundasang (twin bedded).

After breakfast, we visit the Kundasang War Memorial Park to learn about Sabah's WWII history and for great photos with the majestic Mount Kinabalu (if weather permits). Continue the drive to Poring, east of Kinabalu Park HQ to walk amidst tropical lowland rainforests leading up to the treetop canopy walkways. Enjoy lunch, before visiting the Kipungit Waterfall, stopping for a soak here or in the rejuvenating hot sulphur public pools. If the weather permits, treat your foot to a delightful but very ticklish fish massage at the Moroli River in Luanti which will almost certainly leave you in giggles. Continue overland to Sandakan. Overnight stay

Pickup from hotel, transfer to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. We proceed to watch a video show about the plight of the Orang Utans and the rehabilitation efforts ongoing at the Centre. Walk ten minutes through the rainforest on wooden boardwalks to witness the feeding of the orang utans at 1000 hr., and then we continue to the newly completed enclosed nursery area for young orang utans. Thereafter visit the Borneo Sun Bear Conservation Centre to learn about conservation of the world's smallest bear.
After lunch, transfer to Sandakan jetty for 2½ hours boat journey to the multi awards winning Sukau Rainforest Lodge along Sabah's longest river, Kinabatangan with opportunity to view birds and wildlife. Take a river cruise using electric motor in search of wildlife and birds. Enjoy candle light dinner overlooking the riverbank followed by slide show and interpretation by naturalist guide. Overnight stay

Take a 0600 hr. morning river cruise up the Kinabatangan River to Kelenanap oxbow lake to view more birds and wildlife. After breakfast, proceed for an educational tour along the lodge's Hornbill Boardwalk with our in-house naturalist. After lunch, join our in house Orangutan Talk activity. In the afternoon, we proceed for another river cruise for more wildlife. Overnight stay

Return to Sandakan by boat journey. After lunch we will proceed to airport for the afternoon flight to Kota Kinabalu. For those taking the evening flight, we will have a chance to visit Rainforest Discovery Centre. Take a bird view of the centre from the canopy walk and hanging bridge, explore the botanical garden, home to various species of flora. Proceed to Sandakan Memorial Park for a short visit before taking the flight.
