Overview

Northeast India is one of the most bird-rich regions in the world, and therefore a perfect destination for a birdwatching tour. Apart from being home to skulking babblers, singing warblers, and beautiful pheasants, the region is also home to a wide variety of mammals, such as Indian Rhinoceros, tigers, various deer, and many more! Come explore one of the least explored regions of India and let us help you fill your photo albums with memories of your adventure.

Day 01
Arrive Delhi

Welcome to India. Your lifetime adventure starts the moment you land in Delhi. Delhi is beyond touristy destinations, a Delhi that is magic. Great birding wetlands, monuments and garden birds, bank mynas on the stations, coexistence of humans and animals - the visual sights are any photographer's delight.

Arrive at Delhi airport in the evening

Day at leisure

You will be met and transferred to the Hotel for overnight stay.

Day 02
Delhi to Guwahati to Nameri

A visit to Nameri is venturing into the past - the real taste of rural India. A great stop-over for birds and your first day of making the checklist.

Transfer from the hotel to the airport to connect morning flight to Guwahati

Arrive at Guwahati airport, you will be met and transferred to Nameri Tiger Reserve (5-hour drive)

White-winged wood duck, Great Pied Hornbill, Wreathed Hornbill, Rufous Necked Hornbill, Black Stork, Ibis Bill, Large Whistling Teal, King Vulture, Long-Billed Ring Plover, Kalij Pheasant, Hill Myna, Pin Tailed Green Pigeon, Himalayan Pied Kingfisher, Three-Toed kingfisher, Greater Spotted Eagle, White-rumped Vulture, Long-billed Vulture, Black-Bellied Term, etc

Day 03
Nameri to Dirang

This day will be spent taking long hill drives through the picturesque landscape of Arunachal, but that won't be all. Along our way to Dirangzong, we'll take a few pit stops to look for birds - a great travel experience.

Nameri is a scenic sanctuary on the border of the Assam Valley and mountainous

Arunachal Pradesh

Early morning take a boat ride across the Jia Bhoreli river, use the morning for a birding session at Nameri

Later, have breakfast at the resort & proceed towards Arunachal. We will drive to Dirang today (6 to 7-hours drives)

Day 04
Dirang to Mandala Camp

We'll witness the sight of snowbound terrain at the alluring Sela Pass as we stop there looking for your favourite species - it can be cold today.

Early morning birding at Sela Pass and later in evening birding at Sangti Valley

Overnight stay at Mandala

Day 05
Mandala Camp

We hope you have packed your white gowns because we're taking you to paradise. Yes, Mandala indeed is a birders' paradise and you'll love it!

Full day birding in Mandala.

Mandala Camp to Lama Camp

Driving along the serpentine roads with mountains on one side and verdant valleys on the other we'll reach Lama Camp where you'll get to live in the lap of nature.

Day 07
Lama Camp to Bompu

The drive from Lama Camp to Bompu will be something you'll remember for a lifetime. You will literally experience being in the middle of nowhere with only a lonely road painted green with thick forests showing you the way.

Another two full days of birding with a visit to Sessni

Nameri to Kaziranga

Today is the day we'll visit one of the most unique wildlife hotspots of India - the Kaziranga National Park, the land of India's Big5. We'll spend the day marveling at the incredible wildlife and try to learn from them how to live harmoniously.

Rare game birds (which were once hunted) include Partridges (Swamp Francolin), Bustards (Bengal Florican) and Pigeons (Pale-capped Pigeon)

Several other important families of birds inhabit Kaziranga, including rare species of Hornbills (Great Indian Hornbill and the Lesser Risk Wreathed Hornbill), Old World Babblers (Jerdon's Babbler, Marsh Babbler) and Weaver Birds (The Common Baya Weaver and the Threatened Finn's Weaver), Thrushes (Hodgson's Bushchat), Old World Warblers (Bristled Grassbird). Other threatened species include the Black-Breasted Parrotbill and Rufous-Vented Prinia

Day 14
Kaziranga to Guwahati to Delhi

Return to Delhi with tons of happy memories and photographs to flood your social media handles.

After breakfast, drive to Guwahati airport to connect flight back to Delhi in the afternoon

Transfer to hotel for overnight stay

Day 15
Delhi to Departure

Transfer to airport to connect flight back to home in the morning
