Overview
Many of India’s wildlife reserves have royal pasts, none more so than those in the state of Rajasthan. This tour not only gives you the opportunity to explore one of Rajasthan’s premier wildlife destinations, Ranthambore National Park, but also the chance to look for leopards in Jhalana Leopard Reserve, a unique and beautiful forest reserve close to the city of Jaipur.
Ranthambore is not only one of North India’s best tiger reserves, but also home to India’s most photographed tigers. The spectacular backdrop of Ranthambore Fort, along with the Padam Talao, makes for a special experience when searching for India’s national animal.
Once a sport hunting ground for the nobles of Jaipur, Jhalana is a leopard-rich forest that is the perfect quick addition to any Jaipur visit. Apart from Leopard, Jhalana has other attractions such as Striped Hyena, Desert Fox, Golden Jackal, Indian Palm Civets, various species of deer, and a myriad of birds, including Indian Pitta, Dusky Eagle-Owl, Spotted Owlet, Jungle Nightjar, and more.

So many of our guests from outside India had enquired about Ranthambore National Park and when the quarantine restrictions would be lifted so they could visit.
But what is it that makes this place one of the most popular wildlife destinations here, and so popular with visitors to India? Is it the rich abundance of wildlife at Ranthambore, including Tiger, Leopard, Sloth Bear, and various species of deer, that call the lush forests home? Is it the fact that bird watching in Ranthambore can be equally rewarding, with species like Red-headed, Egyptian, and Indian Vultures, Indian Scops Owl, Large Cuckooshrike, and more? Is it the residual regality of the Ranthambhore Fort and Padam Talao that form beautiful backdrops to any photograph, and have made such a huge impact on the culture of the local communities? Or is it a combination of these factors, and more?
Now that restrictions have been lifted for travelers from outside, there is no doubt that this scenic tiger reserve will be a popular addition to your travel bucket list!
