Kedar Khand is a very special zone in the Indian sub-continent where the topography is such that the energy is cleansing and purifying. There Pandavas established one of the twelve Jyotirlinga temples here which was further given a structure by Adi Shankaracharya. Kedarnath means Lord of Kedar-Khanda. The negative energies or karmas, which have manifested in the form of disease and difficulties in life, get released here. The energy of Kedar is of tremendous support. It is located at a height of 11755 ft., a 14-km uphill trek from Gaurikund. Tungnath means ‘Lord of the Peaks’ and is the highest Shiva Temple (12000 ft.), high on energy as well as altitude. Shadowed by the tall alpine forests, it is said that the Shiva Temples here are imbued with the euphoric and ecstatic worship of Shiva devotees One of the great pleasures of being up in the mountains, especially the Himalayas, is experiencing the unknown, the new and the adventurous, the pleasure of soaking in the lush landscapes, the adrenaline rush of standing at the edge of a cliff thousands of feet high, feeling awed in front of the soaring earth and plummeting skies, or uncovering the mysteries of the enigmatic being that Shiva is.
